Thank you guys so much for the Answerversary wishes. (Stole that term from Sassy...... hey where is she?? lol) You know.... no one sticks around some place for a whole year unless they find a place that is fun... welcoming... safe... and warm. You guys make it all of that and more. Thank you Circle for your random fun wrapped around a sensitive soul that is just begging to come forth! Thank you DW for your thought provoking questions... your insightful answers... your hilarious frivolity and for your friendship and advice. What a wordsmith! Thank you Jimbo for MONTHS of fun, funnel cake and fuzzy warmth. Ok I went too far on the fuzzy crap didn't I? thought so. ;) But you know you've been there for me in times of frustration..... thanks a million! Thank you Blue for showing the world how important friendship can be and how laughing and persistence can always push you forward. Thank you X&Y for your nonstop humor... for being there for others while never taking it all too seriously. Thank you for your understanding during trying times... and for always including everyone in your fun. :) Thank you Agrippina for your lovely intellect... for the sandwiches and for always being willing to stop and play in the sand box. :) Thank you Falz.... gosh I'm so glad you came around when you did. Your depth... your sensitivity... your insight... your tender heart..... awwww I adore them all. Thank you Falco... .my nemesis. And my dear dear friend Monitorhead. *sigh* What can I say? I love you so much. You and I met on here and just connected in a way that I'll never be able to explain. Yahoo definitely allowed us to learn about one another through our answers. And it was through opening up in our answers that we discovered so much we had in common. Not to mention our hometown!! You've endured soooo much being my friend... but thank you for sticking it out. I can't tell you what that means to me. But of course.
Marianne was my second proper pal in this weird green and white world, where there are, it must be said, some right freakin' weirdos.
I was kind of losing interest in the place, with the short-sightedness, the shrunken worldviews, the open hatred that some people showed towards others.
And then they came.
First, there was a witty nutter with a monitor for a head. He made me laugh my bum off, and do some pretty good thinking into the bargain. And as I pootled about, looking at the others who answered his questions, I found this blonde-avatared pun-queen, who matched the lad for wit and fun and thinking. Between them, they made me up my game, gave me challenges that made me have to flex my creative muscles, which as a journalist in a frankly dull sector of the world, I hadn't done for a while.
Marianne has always been a stand-out star of the Answers arena. You and she kept me around, kept me interested, enough to form some other friendships here - Sharky, Off My Meds, Goatboy (Wherever the hell he is now...) and so many others. Marianne herself - or Dee, rather - is a precious woman. Funny, deep, with more puns in her artillery than Robin Hood had arrows. She did me the honour of calling me her Nemesis - as if! - and in our giggling and chat, she shortened it to Sis. A greater honour than I deserve, but one I'll always cherish.
So all hail the Gilligan-girl...Three cheers for Marianne, not Ginger, and a Happy Yahooniversary from the redcap Jesterboy of Olde London Towne...
Party on Groover! Stick a Yule Log on the barbecue for me, eh?

What can possibly be said about Marianne_not_Ginger, Not_A pirate, Not_Elf-is, Not_Gingerbread, Not_A redhead, Not_Jenny, Not_Sybil, etc. that she hasn't already said about herself.
Seriously, what really sets her apart is the ability to pour her heart and soul into an answer based on her own experience. The overwhelming decency and compassion she shows when a question calls for it, is almost enough to restore my faith in humanity (almost).
Sadly though she has yet to touch me, but Santa swore he'd send me a perky blonde, so I'm keepin' my fingers crossed...

I say hello to Marianne-not-whomever often. I've not gone over and wished her a happy one year anniversery Y!A greeting though simply because I hadn't gotten over there yet.
She makes me laugh and think and she's even made me cry (but in a totally good way, lol) So all the best to her and I hope to see her around here for many years to come.

Oooohoohoohohooho ....
It's too bad she's not as easy as you because i could have just gotten her donuts :P
In all seriousness, i love Dee.
I think she's a Dee-lightful person and I am a better person for knowing her. I don't know how i would have gotten through this site without her. She's so wonderful. And the answers she gives... Sometimes i want to tell her not to answer my questions because when she does, it's almost guaranteed she'll get best answer and i often have to force myself to choose someone else.
*raises cup of coffee*
This is to you Dee...
You are one of the select few people that have made this place a second home for me.
And i thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.

I'll give her a happy anniversary greeting because she's a fabulous woman with a big heart, and she knows what friendship is all about. And she's pretty funny too :)
Oooh yeah, and she's my "boyfriend's" yahoo mom(see that's Jimbo up there), so she's kinda like family, hehehe ;)

Marianne is certainly a sweet, smart, sexy, witty and wonderful lady and I only wish we could get more of her. DAMN! work and other commitments like family...doesn't she realize we need her here!
Anyway, it hasn't been a year that I have know her, but it has been a year that she has been enriching the lives of those around and so to Marianne, "Congratulations on one year of wonderful questions and answers on Y!A. This little piece of cyberspace would not have been nearly the same without you.

I think we both started this about the same time, and became friends around late march . I remember the first question i answered of hers. and in that time we have shared many moments she knows enough about me to keep in trouble, and also enough to keep me out of trouble, and has done her share of keeping me out of trouble, as far as a cyber friend she is great, but as a real friend you can't do no better. She has my utmost respect, friendship, & love. and i dont give these things out often. JuJu.

I remember her when she was "Thelma" of T and Louise.
The first question I remember her answering of mine was "have you ever been picked up by the fuzz?" She answered "No but i've been swung around by the.... OH i can't say it!"
