Well I said something that my gf took the wrong way and now she is ok, but I still need to prove how much I'm sorry, any ideas on what I can do/get/say/make/anything?

Just saying sorry is itself very manly, and your girl will surely appreciate your courage to admit your fault. In my opinion, no compensating gift is necessary. It would only show you up as a wimp in her eyes.

If it was a misunderstanding or something "she took the wrong way" (not something stupid you said) then you shouldn't have to buy her anything. It was a misunderstanding. Saying you're sorry should be enough. You said she's ok - why do you feel like you need to do more?

I'm not a big fan of buying someone a present when you make a mistake - it's only a constant reminder of how that person hurt you. Plus - the whole "can't buy love" thing.

If it was actually a simple misunderstanding you shouldn't do anything but apologise for miscommunicating your feelings. Otherwise she may come to expect being "bought off" the next time you make a mistake.

Try this.......its a poem (girls love poems)

Im sorry for the pain i caused it wasn't mean't that way,
I didnt mean to upset you with what i had to say.
I hope that you believe me, and this is so seriously true,
I love you more than words can say, Baby i love you.

Sometimes we say things that are taken the wrong way,
Im certainly not perfect, but I do my best each day.
Although im forgiven I have something to say to you,
Your always be my star in Heaven and without you id be blue.

You could also give her some white and red roses.

Or next time shes coming to yours (if you have your own place), Light some candles and turn out the rest of your lights, draw your curtains. Have a glass of her favourite drink ready, and cozy up on the sofa with a Romantic film or just play some soft music and sit together and talk.

Hope this was of some help?

roses,
chocolates
and a nice romantic cd
or better still a romantic film on dvd.

with a nice card from Clintons or such like with the picture of a sad little bear. Just to say ......I'm soooooo sorry.
lots of love and kisses.

sounds like a good idea to me.
I like lovingclementine's answer but i get the feeling u
may have actually hurt her. i did the same thing with my daughter about something she'd given me. men are just clumsy sometimes. if u felt as bad as me, i think ur own heart will lead u.

In the next couple of weeks, reinforce what you said the right away over and over again maybe about 10 times. Us girls like an apology but for proof, we also like you to retract the statement over and over and then we feel better about the wrong thing you said or the way be took it!. Then we can forget it!

Surprise he with something like a magnificent dinner or something. Anything that she is really into right now? Get he it. Spend some time just sitting together and talking about her. Give her a night in the spotlight.

Send her flowers to her work... with just a small card saying they are for her as you love her so.... don't over do the sorry thing as that can get to be a drag......... she will love the buzz of flowers being delivered in full view and that you say you love her ..... good luck...

The best thing that you can do is to PROVE that you are sorry...and only time will do that
In future, engage brain before putting mouth into gear

you can't go wrong with flowers with a girl, ever.

Don't be too apologetic though (unless it was really bad)

Giver her the flowers, sincerely apologise then move on. It may be she was a little oversensitive...
