If someone falls out of a Tree it will eventualy be funny. If someone falls off a chair it is funny. Bad things are funny!

I guess we laugh because we are glad it wasn't us that fell out of the tree or the chair! I once laughed at a funeral. Got so tickled I had to leave! It was funny. I kept thinking that it would be so funny if the corpse sat up and farted....smiled then laid back down! Guess it was either my way of dealing with grief or a mental break down of some sort! Either way....I nearly wet my pants!

People always say "it's not funny when it happens to you" but that's not true at all. Even if it is not funny right away I will often think it's funny a little later. In most cases I think it's funny at the time. Stubbing your toe isn't funny, but it's also not that funny when it happens to other people. Falling out of a chair is always funny.

I think its good to find things to laugh about even in bad situations. The world is too serious and everyone gets depressed because of it.
Laughter especially in bad situations helps us get through those bad situations. It releases chemical in the brain that make us feel good. Laughter indeed is the best medicine!
When I fall out of a tree I laugh at myself for being such a dumb a$$ for getting up in the tree to begin with. My a$$ hurts too so when I laugh it makes it feel better!
