My boyfriend and I are working on are 4th year being together and we are very happy, We have a baby due in May and at the begining he wanted to get married and i said lets what till after the baby is born, now i wantto get married. How do i bring it up to him?

Im very open with him, i just didnt want to come out and say, hey wanna get married. should i do it over dinner or something romantic?

Be honest with him tell him that you have been thinking and that you want to get married before the baby is born. If this guy loves you and everything and the relationship is as great as you say then he will probably say sure when and where sweetie. Remember marriage is not just a piece of paper it is a lifelong commitment to one person period. To love honor and cherish,
all the days of your lives in good times and bad, in sickness and health. Marriage is a sacred bond and your vows are spoken in front of family and god this is probably going to be the most critical time of your life and with marriage things can change. Another tip the first year of marriage is the hardest so hang in there and be strong one other thing you may have to igve up some of your friends because your marriage comes first and they may just not understand the whole marriage thing spending time together as a family etc. Congrats on the future baby and the wedding. He will understand as this is what he wants and feels is best. Just say u feel its right and better to get married before ur baby is born. no one wants an illegimate child. A child born within a marriage does mean alot (to the child and u and ur partner) by getting married first shows respect and 'true' love

Just tell him that you think he was right and we should get married. This will be better for the both of you and the baby make sure you tell him you love him.

just tell him you have had a change of heart and you want to go ahead and get married. If you do not feel comfortable enough to tell him what is on your mind.... you may want to talk with him about that to.

you've been together long enough to not have to tip toe around whats on your mind...let him know that you've been thinking and you dont want to bring the baby in the world without being wedded..tell him you love him dearly and he was right..and just ask him this time

skw - um you are having a baby and have been with him 4 years now. If you can't talk about this - you don't communicate very well. Just bring it up - and talk about it with him.

LOL....Just tell him.....it's not like it is closed for discussion. Tell him you changed your mind and ask if he wants to just go ahead and do it. Not a difficult thing.
