It may be your sound drivers, try finding your sound card on your pc, under device manager and check the settings and drivers are up to date,re installing the drivers may help, this can be done online or you can use the disc that came with your pc if you still have it, (thats the easiest option) and fastest.

It sounds like a sample rate problem, either caused by; your browser software (macromedia flash); your sound card software; or your sound card drivers.
First thing's first, restart your computer and see if that solves the problem.
If that doesn't fix things, make sure you have the latest version of the macromedia flash player - http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/. If you do, then uninstall it - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157 - and re-install it again.
If you are still getting the problem and you have a sound card that isn't onboard (i.e. a sound card that's plugged into a PCI slot and has it's own software on your computer), then open up the software configuration and try messing around with the options.
If you still have problems, find out what sound card or onboard sound you have. Go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. Within Computer Management click on Device Manager on the left, then expand the Sound, video and game controllers menu and you should see the name of your sound device listed. For example, one of the most common is Realtek AC'97. If you can't work out what your sound device is, try and find some software by using google, something like "soundcard detector." Once you've found what your sound device is, find and install the right drivers for it by using http://www.driverguide.com/.
Hopefully that'll work!

babe it can only be one of a few things, it not the mother board because that is still working, you sure you connected properly ?,Remember the plugs are colour coded, the one other thing as far as I know is that your sound board going. What sound system you got on your pc? Is it stereo or quad, surround or what ? could just be faulty connection on one of those. If it is the sound board it only cost you about 10 quid anyway so get it checked. Good luck with it.

Did you get specific driver software for your sound card? The environment controls may be setup wrong.
