The brain does control everything you do. As humans, we have learned to use only a very small part the brains capabilities. Some people less than others.

Actually your brain makes more calculations per second than the Cray 2 computer. But it does not control everything in your body. All involuntary muscles are not controlled by the brain. Heart, lungs etc.

There are some factors from your environment and what happens around you, but otherwise, your brain controls everything in your body; processes senses, thoughts, emotions, even things you don't know that it's doing like breathing, and digestion

Your brain doesn't actually control everything you do. Some reflexes, like moving your arm to protect yourself, just go to the spinal cord to save time.
