Aleister Crowley defined magic(k) as any willed action. While this is a bit too broad for most people, it implies that any conscious choice is inherently magical because it changes reality.

As for traditional movie-style magic with gross effects and overtly supernatural manifestations observable by all, probably not. Most modern magical practitioners, especially those of a ceremonial bent, will tell you that it's easy to create willed change in your own personal microcosmos, the Great Big Universe Inside, but it's far more difficult to influence the outside world. When this is done, the results tend to be be more coincidental or appear to be synchronicity, not gross displays of overt power.

In Taoism, one finds mention of the Watercourse Way. Real magic, if one chooses to believe in it, is supposed to be kind of like that -- finding a path of least resistance toward a goal, not a special effects-laden wish fulfilment.

"Magic is the Highest, most Absolute, and most divine Knowledge of natural Philosophy, advanced in the works and wonderful operations by a right understanding of the inward and occult virtue of things; so that true Agents being applied to proper Patients, strange and admirable effects will thereby be produced. Whence magicians are profound and diligent searchers into nature; they, because of their skill, know how to anticipate an effect, the which to the vulgar shall seem to be a miracle." - The Goetia

I suppose in esoteric/occult magic. And I suppose, however are not able to end up that it has an life external of the geographical regions of psychology. ie I consider spells do not want the recipient to suppose within the life of magic, handiest that the caster believes it is going to paintings. If you assert or else provide an explanation for how climate magic, and different spells which impact that that are often appeared to be "inanimate techniques" paintings? Statement pronouncing the recipient has to suppose as good because the caster, could imply that the elements has to suppose in magic! Think a difficult difference among magic being defined as white or black misses plenty out. As I consider magic is just a device, and consequently does not have any intrinsic alignment. A blade will also be placed to a well use (surgical procedure), however it may also be placed to a nasty use (stabbing anyone) It's handiest the motive/results of it is use that might be discovered to be black or white. Even then the phrases black/white are more and more being visible as non-PC, and are most commonly changed with the phrases bad and constructive. --- A lot of what Wheatly talks approximately is quite simply a pile of "headline grabbing" garbage tying into peoples preconceived recommendations. Perhaps attempt to see the 1971 movie "Simon King of The Witches" (despite the fact that the magic proven is broadly the hardly ever practised mesmerism) Also possibly attempt to see Haxan (1922) for a basically physiological clarification (which could also be the mannequin which Freud constructed which reconed Multiple Sclerosis is physco-somatic, without a bodily groundwork! We recognize higher now)

Of Course I beleive in magic. What is the symbol behind the police badge, what makes it powerful?People's faith in it. IF people didn't beleive that it had power it wouldn't have power or MAGIC . magic is all around us , it is as simple as a flower growing, the magic is that the combination of seeds, soil, water ,sun and love makes it grow. We all have tried to grow a flower but something just wasn't working. Here's a hint, next time try focusing on the flower growing and it will that is magic!!

Being that I use to be a wiccan and I am now a christian, I can say that magic exist. When i was wiccan, I thought tha magic was in nature, but now I know that I was borrowing from the power of satan. Wiccans refuse to believe that they are using this power as well as people who practise voodoo, but I had too many problems with the craft when I used it. I would rather be washed in the blood then pretend to be something I am not.

The question is do you believe. Magic does exist. You may not ever see signs of it but it's there. Too many strange things happen in this world for it not to be there.

there are various forms of magic. when one observes the changes in the seasons this is a form of magic. when one feels compassion, tenderness and caring for another this is a different form of magic. the way people care and respect nature is magic. when people fall in love this is magic so there is magic all over and there is no doubt of its existence
