I am 35 and every month my cramps and back aches get more and more painful, I have been bleeding heavier then I ever used to, could this be a sign of pre menopause or could it be something else? My Dr.'s, (two of them at the same office) can't seem to find nothing wrong, yet the pain is so intense they now have me on paxil as needed to control my severe mood swings during PMS, a muscle relxer and three diffferent pain killers for when I am on my period. Last month first bad systom I could not pick my head up off the pillow, after that passed the second systom was worse, I felt as though I had a metal rod stuck up my tail bone that went to the top of my spine even though I could move my head nomally, I literally could not turn from side to side, I was that stiff! Do you experience systoms like this? Is it normal? Should I have a second opinion?

No I am not on the pill...

Please be serious! I am not looking for any one to feel sorry for me, I am not trying to complain either! Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this and maybe if they know what the problem could be!

it sounds like perimenopause, as far as the mood swings and changes in amount of flow
I had all the same signs you do but the docs said my bloodwork didn't show any signs. My best guess is all the trouble started when I was about your age ( I'm 51 now ) I went thru to the end of menopause w/o any hormal treatment therapy. Now a days I feel GREAT, it's all over and done with!

As far as the paralizing pain, yep been there done that. It sounds like mittelschmerz. I used to have to hold very still and breath so shallow I wasn't getting enough oxygen or the cramping pain would paralise me. I finally went to the er one month thinking I was dying. Right away the dr siad he thought it was Mittelschmerz and said take 2 asprin. Within an hour I was totally pain free except for some sore musles from all the cramps. Links below good luck

I would encourage you to consider getting yourself on the Pill. I have a condition that is called "Abdominal Migraines" and it's fairly rare, especially in adults. When it got really bad I was on the Pill to help reduce the cramps during my period and other symptoms I was experiencing. You may need a little assistance with regulating and reducing your periods. Birth Control Pills are not just for people who are trying to prevent pregnancy.

Are you on the pill? If so, that could be the cause, but the solution could be as easy as switching brands of pills. if you are not on the pill, maybe you should try it...it really helps with that time of the month.
