I do ,it's as if these soaps are more and more using shock tactics to increase ratings.

It is a little bit too much for a soap I think. They're doing the same thing in eastenders I believe. They all seem to follow one another. There are so many more things they could play on as opposed to something like cancer. I thought tv soaps were supposed to be an escape from reality with a bit of comedy. Something to watch that didn't need much thought.
I think we should have a whole new soap just about sky mangel. That'd bring some relief if you know what I mean.
Happy Christmas.

I think its wrong for Cilla to pretend I mean for a start its tempting fete and it isnt fair on viewers who are watching who have suffered from cancer or who have loved ones who have. But I hope Cilla is going to get what she deserves from everyone when they discover the truth. Shes just a selfish character who doesnt think about anyone else.

I think it's being taken too seriously. I know that cancer is a serious subject (my dad died from it) but it's not mocking cancer. It's mocking Cilla who is known for her distasteful and outrageous behaviour. The Corrie writers aren't saying it's ok that she's doing this. I'm sure we'll see her get her payback in the end.

Cilla is very knieving. Im here in Canada and we are six months behind. Right now its revolving around Mike and the dementia. Corrie rocks.

yea but its just shows you what some people will do to get what they want. I've sort of stoped watching corrie as the story line have got really bad like the Danny Jammie Frankie thing and so on waste of 30 min of my life.

I agree with you 100%. I just think of the real people who have real cancer issues to deal with. To watch this farce on the television is nothing more than sick. The writers of the series are obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one. I would think they would lose ratings as a result. I for one will be pushing the 'off' button.

Yes it is sick, but its a story line only Cilla could do, At least she did have cancer unlike Angie in Beast Enders when she told Den that she was dying !!

ITS NOT REAL!!

plus soaps always have shocking storylines, rape murder incest allsorts of things that will in some way disturb other people.

unfortunately these kinds of things happen in peoples lives every day and the outcome and feelings on these soaps can sometimes help real people deal with this.

Yes having family members who have died from cancer I don't understand what the Corrie writers think they are going to achieve from this storyline
