I'm convinced that all people by nature are selfish and narcissistic; that includes myself. I find I have to think to do the right thing, not to be selfish and to "take the high road" and most of the time I accomplish my goal of being a decent and moral person. If you try real hard to always attempt do the right thing and ignore people that try to take advantage of you your positive behavior will soon become a habit and eventually become a life style. Unfortunately, you have no control of the individual next to you so this change has to start with you. It's not that I can't stand selfish people its that I feel sorry for them. They are the people that will have failed marriages, resentful children and a miserable life.

Well, it is just a sad misuse of the colossal potential of this site.
It's like breaking the arm off Michelangelo's David and using it as a back-scratcher.
