The kids who thought they were just the cutest most popular , the most adorable things on the face of the earth.
One beauty(I'm being sarcastic here) always managed to turn beet red when she got nominated for something and go oh me? You want me . When she practically intimidated everyone into promoting her for the different positions and if you didn't vote her god help you.
When she finally lost at something the entire auditorium applauded like mad and nearly did a standing ovation.
So the ' in' crowd, usually rankled the rest of serfs, who managed to have a good time anyway without them.

1. Some of the students were jerks and/or bullies.
2. Changing graduation requirements while I was there meant I had to go to summerschool for two summers; there wasn't enough time during the regular school year to take the classes required for high school graduation and college admission.

The thing I hated most about high school was all the little cliches. It seemed like if you werent in one then you weren't popular.

The morons who wasted time in class... never prepared, never ready to work, never did the homework. They were just bnoneheads. If I could have afforded to go to a private school with kids who were motivated, I could have learned twice as much.
My revenge is that most of them are still boneheads 40 years later, the ones that didnt die already from smoking or drinking.

Poor teachers, low-level teaching, boring and un-challenging work, no connections made to relevance for real life, boorish and mean administrators/staff.

Trashing-talking, two-faced, drama b*tches, but then it led to some pretty entertaining fights... Still, they're annoying.

That we called it 'secondary school' rather than the more exciting sounding 'high school'.
