Queen
Because their songs are so memorable, and Freddie's voice is so great and unique. All the members of the band were incredibly talented both writing and performing (John Deacon wrote some of Queen's biggest hits and is in the top (10?) richest musicians list)
Hands down, best rock band of all time.

The Beatles.
Hands down.
Why?
Cause they revolutionized rock and gave everyone a new sound to listen to.
They were a completely different type of music than anyone had ever heard before.
If it wasn't for The Beatles, you can be sure that 100% of the current popular bands would not be around right now.
Just sayin'.

For me it's a toss up between Aerosmith and Queen. I think Queen is amazing, and completely changed music. I also think that Steven Tyler's voice and stage presence is unrivaled, but I am not old enough to have seen Queen. I just saw Aerosmith this year! I think that the Beatles were just popular, and I personally hate the music. It's too poppy for me.

The best is not always the most popular. But my vote is for The Who.
Townsend was the first to smash his guitar, they are even popular today with the theme songs on CSI. Where would we be without "Who Are You"? :)

The Beatles are still huge... I agree that the Beatles win hands down.
