When I'm having a conversation wit some 1 and ask them their zodaic sign they give me something like virgo AND libra. How is that possible to have two?

*** robert's right. it has to do w/ being a cusp. people born on a cusp have characteristics of both signs.

It depends on the astrologer, but there are many who believe that your Rising Sign, (or Ascendant), determines which of the cusp you embrace. People are complex creatures. Their zodiac consists of, (and this is a very basic example), a Sun Sign (The position of the sun in the zodiac, while the signs move along the elliptic during birth), A Rising Sign, or Ascendant (The sign in the eastern horizon at any given time - it changes throughout the day - in relation to the suns positioning during birth) and A Moon Sign (the position of the Moon in a particular sign during birth)
Your sun sign basically determines your fortune. Your rising sign determines how you portray yourself to other people, (and has more to do with your personality), and your moon sign determines your emotions and emotional responses.
In this way, people are influenced by multiple signs that make up their whole person. Some people are Virgos, with Aquarian risings, and Cancer moons. All of these signs influence their person, and complete a very complex picture. Most people don't get that intricate in their definition, however.

Assuming you are talking about the sun sign, technicly shes only a virgo. however she's probly on the tail end of virgo, and what is known as "on the cusp" of virgo and libra. generally different astrologers read this differently. some say they have the qualities of both sun signs, some say they have the qualities of one or the other. its up to you on which you find is true.
she could also have a virgo sun and a libra moon. because there are technicly a multitude of different things that could be considered in a certain sign (with of course different effects) a person can be born under every sign, with multiple planets/asteroids/imaginary (mathmatical) positions. but i assume she was reffering to her sun sign.

Technically you can't have two sun signs but if you were born and the end or beginning of a sign, you have traits of the both the one ending and the one beginning but there are ways to know exactly which sun sign you technically are with some traits of the other one. These type of people are born on the cusp.
Also people have birth charts which describes all sorts of signs and which planet they were in the sky when you were born and gives descriptions of the personality in depth. Birth charts are created by knowing your exact birth time, date, and place of birth. Also you can get in depth horoscopes based off of your birth chart.

You can't be two signs but some people often confuse their sun sign with their ascendant sign or moon. For example you ask what sign are you, and the answer is "double taurus" that would indicate a taurus sun and either taurus moon or taurus ascendant (the other part of the double). Even if you are on the cusp of a sign you can only be ONE sun sign.

I guess they could say that if they were born right on the borderline between one and another, like on the first day of a new one, but that doesn't count because they still belong to just that one. No one has 2 zodiacs.

Because they might born on the boundary date of a sign ....if someone born on May 21 may consider as both Gemini and Taurus.
It is all depends on the book you choose to believe lol
And sometimes people who born on the boundary date tend to have double personalities.....

Some signs start on different days according to different books, magazines, calendars and so on. My sister is sometimes one sign and sometime the other because her birthday is the last day for one in some cases and the first day for the other in other cases.
