I love it. It is great to not have to worry about taking a pill at the same time every day. I have never had an infection or any type of problems with it. If it should, um, come out for a certain reason(lol), just rinse it off and put it back in.
I have been using it for about a year and my periods are about 1 1/2 days and really light. I have no cramping, bloating nor have I had any weight gain with it at all. Here lately I have kept it in for 4 weeks and just put a new one in on the first of the month. My OB said that this is fine, just don't do it continuously. Leave it in for 3 months, then do the 3 week thing and have a period then do it again. It is basically the same as the pill Seasonale in that aspect.
Hope this is helpful and not too much info......

I am on the nuvaring and i absolutly love it. I just set a reminder in my cell phone as to remind me to take it out and my periods are lighter and shorter as well. I had problems with the pill (didnt take it same time every day and got pregnant). Now i'm being more careful by being proactive about it all.
Just remember, even on any form of birth control use a condom!

No birth control is completely safe. If you are really sure you are ready for sex, then both of you get tested for std's and other things, and if safe... use a diaphragm. Yes, it does take a minute to "go freshen up", but no worries about side effects or anything like that. I also have heard bad news about the pills causing liver problems, blood clots... the ring also has it's bad news... and the patch has really really bad news. The foam is also another really good one to use. your body won't be on anything or have unnatural hormones added to it.

i personally use this and it is great. i have no craps and no other problems. i hated the pill, but this i love you can put it in a forget about it. The only thing with it is that i actually miss periods sometimes..... it just never comes and i wait the week and put a new one in.... this has caused me to freak a couple times and wonder if it didn't work, but never a problem and how bad could a missed period be anyway?

theres also one you can get that last 5 or 10 years. i have a book on it that i got from the clinic. sorry dont remember the name...and i've changed my room around so i have no idea where the book is. when i find it i'll let you know. in the mean time you can just use condoms. i do believe its the only birthcontrol that protects against std's and pregnancy (most of the time).
love jen.

I don't recommend that type. I thought it would be great for the same reason, but I was on it for 9months and used it exactly as directed and I got pregnant in November of last year. I have a beautiful baby boy!!!!!

don't do that.
get the depo shot. you have to get it every 3 months and there is a chance that you will gain weight but if you eat healthy you will not. thats what i am on and it is the most effective birth control!

I loved it the only problem is it could cause some inflamation/infections which can cause it hard to keep the ring where it belongs. That and it is a bit more expensive.......other than those two things I love it! :)
