To see the amount of RAM you have installed in your computer, right-click on the "My Computer" icon and left click on Properties. Wait for a minute for the statistics to load.

What you have to understand about computers is that RAM supports a playing field based on the computer's design and the speed of the processor. Th performance of this combination is usually measured as a benchmark.

As you increase the amount of RAM in a computer, you bring the computer closer to it's maximum benchmark. People refer to this as the computer running faster after installing more RAM which is not necessarilty true. What happens is you increase the amount of activity the computer can sustain (without affecting performance) such as the number of applications you can have open.

In regards to making the Internet faster by adding RAM, there is some truth to this.

Internet Explorer is an application that is accessed from your hard disk; and is also loaded into your computer's RAM.

Combine this appplication with everything else running on your computer that you can and cannot see. In some instances you may not have enough RAM installed.

If you have 512MB or less, than you should upgrade to at least 1GB of RAM.

As far as determining what type of RAM to buy, you'll have to physically open the case and look at the RAM module. If you have a manufactured computer such as one from IBM, HP, Dell, Gateway, etc. Sometimkes you can use the model number to look up Product Specifications.

You can download ccleaner for free here: http://bit.ly/1Bk5V5C

First open CCleaner
Go to the Cleaner tab and you will be confronted by a very confusing lineup of checkboxes.
To make this brief, below is my recommended setup:
Under internet explorer check temporary internet files, cookies, and last download location. Most users don't really need this stuff. keep history and bookmarks unchecked, history is a maybe, but you don't want to lose bookmarked sites. You can normally leave Windows Explorer, System, and Advanced alone.
Run CCleaner and it will start deleting files.
afterward it will present you with a list of the files deleted, you really don't need to go through it as it will be several pages long.
The registry cleaner is recommended for slightly more advanced users. Use it after uninstalling programs as they will often leave behind incorrect registry entries.
If you decide to run Registry cleaner then review the items detected and always back up the registry (I keep a folder aside for this)
The Tools tab lets you uninstall programs and set startup programs. Why do you need this if Windows has all of these features? Especially with Vista Home Ed. The windows defender software explorer( startup programs) doesn't pick up some entries (however software explorer is easier to use).
Using CCleaner to uninstall programs and then check for leftover registry entries takes less time.
Under Options you can determine how CCleaner cleans your files. I leave this alone.

i'm guessing you meant 2.fifty 3 GHZ (maximum cell phones are swifter than 2.fifty 3 MHZ). quite in many circumstances, one hundred% CPU a lot come from very equipment severe courses (for instance, video editors, virus scanners, continuous disk defragmenters like diskeeper, and so on). the basically thanks to fix which could be to uninstall or end those procedures. yet another difficulty would nicely be interior the BIOS. once you've incorrect voltage settings, the CPU should not be operating at that's meant clock p.c. (and quite in many circumstances, way slower considering voltage settings influence CPU output with the help of utilizing a multiplier). basically bypass into the BIOS and set each little thing decrease back to default settings.
