Wheel alignment is the most obvious but, you can check your tire pressures as well to ensure all 4 have the correct PSI.

A few times at the tire shop the guys that rotate them rarely look at the tire pressures, more worried about get the job done as fast as they can

Your symptoms describe classic "in need of a wheel alignment" syndrome. You man also have a worn suspension part somewhere or maybe even worn wheel bearings.

In the future, I'd spend less time and money of the rotation and balance, and get an annual or semi anual alignment done on your vehicle. That particular procedure will save your tires more so than R&B will.

There are several factors that contribute to tire wear. Worn shocks can cause cupping of the tread. Shocks generally need to be replaced at 50,000 miles. Alignment (excessive toe in/out) can cause tires to wear on the inside/outside. Alignment should be checked whenever there are signs of uneven wear on the tire tread. I would have these items checked at your earliest convenience.
