Hi there,
After a few days I will take my first trip to Dubai...and I wonder, whether I will like it there or not? At the moment I've been travelling only in two other countries: France and Turkey.
And perhaps I need to mention that I am from Sofia, Bulgaria...needless to say poor country...so will be Dubai like an alien city to me?
What do you think...is Dubai that nice or should I regret that I didn't choosed USA :).

I Think You Made The Right Choice By Choosing Dubai, As a holiday destination. It is a known fact that very few cities around the world offer such a rich blend of cultures, traditions and nationalities all living peacefully side by side, Dubai is one such city.
People from all walks of life are very helpful, this even includes the local population. The people of the Emirates are known to be courteous and helpful to foreigners, even in the most remotest part of the country (Personal Experience !!!)

yes you will actually love it, ive lived here for 3 years and i love it so much and not just me anyone who has been to dubai says the same thing, i was originally born in the usa, then i got married and moved here, so let me tell you whats cool about dubai is that its open a mix of european and amercian and estearn all at the same time everything u think of is here there are so many nationalities from all over and since ur from bulgaria there are alot of them also living and visiting here, and about u feeling like an alien u wont becuz its mostly expats here and ull have a wonderful time from the hotels being top of the line, to the delicious restaurants, coffee shops, dubai shopping festival, everything and its wonderful, and its a very safe country and they welcome you very nicely here in dubai, hope u come and trust me you will have a wonderful stay

Dubai is a very crowded place, apartments and rents are very high in price, traffic is unbearable, everything is very expensive and you won't save anything and there are billions of nationalities and in summer it is very hot like an oven, in winter it is cold and the weather is nice, but if rained people doesn't know how to drive and will make many accidents.
Internet service blocks most of the handy websites and there isn't much to do except working till 7,8 pm and sleep. you will sure enjoy this country if you like this type of living.

if you can't have fun in dubai, you'll have trouble finding fun in any city.
