Mine are Yellowstone (my first park and the most unusual place I've ever seen), Zion (the towering cliffs and breathtaking scenery were very memorable), Denali (the expanse of land, the animals, the glaciers, the snowstorm in August - WOW), Gettysburg (one of the most moving places I've ever visited), and finally the Grand Canyon (stunning views, more than you can ever imagine).

I actually have a list at home, but I have them broken up into categories of Natural and Cultural/Historic because I've been to a lot and its too hard to compare something like Gettysburg to something like Yellowstone, because they're so different. I can't recall my exact list, but here are some of my favorites...

Dry Tortugas National Park (off Key West) - one of the most beautiful and remote places I've ever been

Gettysburg - I could go there every year for 100 years and never get enough. The sacrifices that those men made are unimaginable. It is a very solemn and spiritual place.

Steamtown USA - I love trains and this place is a train lover's paradise!

Promontory Summit / Golden Spike - See above note about trains. I love the remoteness of this place and the fact that you can walk the old railroad grades where the UP and CP were grading parallel to each other.

Harpers Ferry - a really unique place geographically and historically

We went to Grand Teton and Yellowstone last summer - I was out there for a conference for work - but unfortunately, we didn't have much time to spend. I'd love to go back when I can more fully enjoy them.

Some of the ones that I haven't been to that are tops on my list...Denali, Acadia, Grand Canyon, and Mount Rushmore!

I haven't been to many but we do have one about an hour from my house and it's gorgeous! It's called Cascades' National Park in Virginia. You could climb on the big rocks in the pretty glossy water, it's a good time. :D
