Need Help Quick?

Question

I had to create a website on whatever I wanted for a class of mine. I was wondering if you all could take a look at it and tell me what you think about it. I would like it if you could be honest and dont worry I can take the good and bad commets. But, please realize that this is my first time doing this.

It looks really good for your first time. Two things I would change for sure.

1. Darken or lighten the background image, preferably lighten. As the previous commentator mentioned, it is a little distracting.

2. Increase the cell padding for the section on "EMT Code of Ethics". Having the lettering next to the border is bad web design. A cell padding of 5 or 10 should be just right.

3. This suggestion is only if you want to. You should try making the background image tilable. The area where the black and blue meet contrast too much. Google "tile maker" and you should be able to find some programs to help you with that.

4. The "EMT Code of Ethics" has more content in it, therefore it should be a primary focus of your web page. I would put that in the center and move the section in "Home" above it or below it.

I think it's good, content is laid out well.

I find the tiled background distracting...maybe something a little more solid would make the site look less "cluttered"
