Although your question is somewhat disturbing in it's reliance on stereotyping the answer is that the Ferengi are what the ultimate capitalists would be. The Ferengi religion is based around money, that is it, if your get enough you get into the treasury in the after life. I believe that the Ferengi were designed as a warning for what the world will become if we don't step back and take a look at ourselves (sorry but I had to say that). Hope this helps.

My understanding of the Ferengi was that they were considered to be like the Yankee Traders of the early US East Coast. Basically, anything for a buck. That has been mentioned in ST: TNG

If you are basing your question on the stereotype that Jews are hagglers and money-grubbers then, yes, I'd have to say yes. However, to limit ones ideal of what a people are based strictly on a stereotype is to limit oneself from learning how wonderful people can be.

I would say they are the stereotype. And you might want to phrase your question in a way that's a little less abrasive. Comes off kinda anti-Semitic.
