I am extremely sensitive to drugs, especially ones that mess with my hormones. This pill never bothered me.

There have been no serious complications associated with Plan B®. You may experience non-serious side effects such as nausea, abdominal pain, tiredness, headache, dizziness, or breast tenderness. These are similar to the side effects you may experience on regular birth control pills. However, if you should vomit within 1 hour of taking either Plan B® tablet, call your healthcare professional to see if you should repeat the dose.

Some women may also have menstrual changes after taking Plan B®. For example, you may experience spotting or bleeding before your next period. Or your next period might be heavier or lighter, earlier or later. Most women will have their next menstrual period at the expected time or within 1 week of the expected time. If your menstrual period is delayed beyond 1 week, you may be pregnant and should follow up with your healthcare professional.

I think you are confused. The "morning after" pill does NOT terminate a pregnancy. It only prevents one. If you take the morning after pill (also called Emergency Contraceptives or Plan B) within 72 hours of having intercourse, the pill will likely prevent pregnancy, in close to 90 percent of cases. The morning after pill is actually a very strong dose of one of the ingredients in regular birth control pills, the hormone progestin.

If you are ALREADY PREGNANT, the morning after won't do anything. To end a pregnancy, you need to take an abortion pill (called RU-486) which is something altogether different, with different ingredients.

The morning after pill typically causes your period to be late, and it can cause nausea, vomiting, tender breasts, dizziness, bloating, etc. Its very hard on your body because it is a very high dose of progestin. Its also not as effective as taking a regular birth control pill every day.

There really are no side effects if you take the morning after pill and you are not pregnant... the whole reason for the pill is to be on the safe side. no one would ever know that they were pregnant in one day, so there would be no side effects. you just have to remember to take both of them or it defets the whole purpouse. ~marlene

The morning after pill isn't an abortion pill. If the person is already pregnant, the pill does nothing. The pill just prevents the the implantation of a fertilized egg, it doesn't kill a baby that already has been implanted.

You take it because there is a slight chance you may get pregnant. They are a super dose of hormones taken at 12 hour intervals. They can cause nausea and vomiting. But no long term effects.
