There are a couple of options on this one but more than likely they will only delay the need for a knee replacement. I wouldn't inject anything into my knee if I were you. There is the use of glucosamine/condroitin but this has not been proven to regrow cartilage it has been only proven to slow the breakdown of cartilage. The other choice is chondroplasty, which is a surgery to put in replacement cartilage, but this requires alot of rehab and is only a temporary fix. It will in the end still need a knee replacement to be done but this may delay the need at least a little while.

DO NOT INJECT ANYTHING INTO YOUR KNEE WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION!!! PLEASE!!!
That said, try glucosamine/chondrontin, a multi-vitamin and extra folic acid. You should take each pill according to the directions on the package. Make sure to get plenty of gentle excercise. If you have stiffness or inflammation in your joint, take one or two ibuprofen in the morning when you wake up.
Eventually, you will probably have to have your knee replaced. But the glucosamine/chondrontin, multi-vitamins and folic acid supplements should give you some time.

Ok, first, what i´m going to tell you is in absolutely no way a replacement for the doctor´s advice, still, there´s a dietary suplement that could help you with cartilage replacement, it is called condroitin. Search the web for it, and then go talk to a doctor about it. Try http://www.arthritis.org/conditions/alttherapies/Glucosamine.asp
I hope it helps. Regards, Gabriel

I had my cartilage replaced. See your Dr. about that, or he can refer you to a specialist. Usually they just go in and "scope " it. You will be off your feet for a week or so. If it is just your cartilage they won't have to replace the whole knee.

Knee joint replacement surgery has become very common nowadays. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.
