I have even had to change the sperm bank that I donate to several times because all sperm banks limit the number of children a specific donor can produce. I have been blessed with the physical and mental traits that are desirable. My educational background also helps I am sure. I say that not to brag butt to be a donor at any good sperm bank have to undergo rigorous tests, including physical exams, blood and urine analysis and regular blood draws -- as often as every two or three months. I have never had any issues with passing these. I have 3 children with my wife. The oldest just turned 5. Over the past year I have started to feel some guilt about not telling my wife. Should I tell her?

I do not feel bad about the possibility that there are kids out there that are genetically mine that I do not know. I do not donate because I feel it makes masturbation ok. I think masturbation is ok anyway. Truth is told I do it because I like the thought of affecting the world more thought having lots of kids with different woman. I do not cheat on my wife so this is the way I accomplish this. Now why a woman would want to have a child with sperm from someone she does not know she obtained from a sperm bank is beyond me.

Hm...you used the wrong 'but' in your paragraph after saying that you had mental traits that are desirable. That being said, you have been doing this for nine years? How long have you been married? when did this start? Yeah, this is something that you should tell her about, if for no other reason than to plan with her how to tell your three children why they need to know who the actually dad was of their partner when they want to have a family. I mean there are many women who take the option of donated sperm, and that is all well and good, but if you have DNA out there, and children of your own, there is a chance that your children might meet someone that they like, and it may turn out that they are DNA related to the person. Kind of eeewww if you ask me. Be responsible here.

Since you are having guilty feelings, then i guess you should tell your wife. Before you do, there are some things you have to consider. You have a better judgement as to how your wife may react. If you think it's just going to hurt your relationship, then i guess you better not and discontinue your sperm donation. You may get a better idea as whether to tell her or not by asking her about her views regarding sperm donations and sperm banks.

Ok, you have posed a valid question and all this people are just criticizing you. First of all I can tell that the great majority here have never donated sperm. When you do it you have to sign a release and then your name stays confidential. Also, I think you are doing a very noble job by helping families that cannot have and enjoy the happiness of having a child to fulfill their dreams. Go ahead and tell you wife I am pretty sure she will understand. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas

Not telling your wife that's there the possibility that you have fathered other children. You know secrets have a way of coming out to hunt you later in life. Especially when the children show up wanting to know their daddy. If I was you, I would stop and tell your wife what you have been up to the last 9 years. Yeah, I bet you feel guilty, if you feel guilty then something must be wrong with it.

You are suppose to be married to your wife which means she is entitled to exclusive information about you, especially that of the giving of your sperm. Do you realize that you could become divorced over this without thinking about the giving of sperm without her knowledge? Do You? It's a generous thing to do and many men wouldn't take the time of day to offer themselves. You may even want to talk to a Lawyer about the ramifications you could cause due to this. Don't tell her just yet before you find out your legalities.

Why do you feel the need to do this? Heres my opinion...you might seem like the up and up since you pass these rigorous tests which makes me believe you need to feel accepted. You want to feel important since you lack self esteem even as much as you come off as being strong. Why not tell you wife or is it the need to masterbate w/o waste? LOL You feel your masterbation is acceptable as long as you donate. I'm not being sarcastic, well ok, alittle. Does it not bother you that your donating so much and there could be several of your offspring out there and you know nothing of them?

WOW. If this is real (I have my doubts) you had best either stop and hope she never finds out or tell her and be prepared for her to lop off your balls and donate those to the bank.
LMAO this is funny. I can't help but wonder if your wife will notice that so many people look like you.

You are awful!! You have God knows how many children out there and are married with children!!!! If your wife consented to it it'd be different but apparently you kept it for a reason. If I was her I'd hate you for it and leave, but I'm not and yes you should tell her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
