Try Sudafed Spray, it gets you unblocked really quickly and lasts for 10 hours.

There may be a few options....
Piriton is for allergies but useful for other things, its dries up the mucus and so you arent bunged up. Also it makes you sleepy so might get a better nights sleep anyway.

The other thing i use is Otrivine Nasal Spray...its very good and lasts up to 8 hours like it says on the bottle.

Hope this helps....but also as with any medicine, not meant for long term, if lasts too long maybe a visit to the doctor would be advisable.

Have a great Xmas

Those Breathe-Right strips from the chemist work for some people, but you should go to your GP if the problem persists. You may need a mild steroid nasal spray, only available on prescription.

You have a sinus infection which when standing is sitting in the pockets above and below your eyes but when you lay down it settles in your nasal passages.

Sinex, Beconase or any other nasal decongestant spray

Nasal decongestants are great, but can be habit forming. Try saline spray. My husband has started using it and it is working great. Plus it's not habit forming and doesn't have that odd taste that most decongestant nasal sprays have.

What you should use is nasel strips. I have the same problem and it works. Athletes use them when playing. What it does is clears the passageway to help you breath easier.
