I am planning a 5 day trip. Where should I go. I have a friend in Miami, and a brother in Newport Beach, CA. I am not limited to those 2 places though. Where do you suggest?

I think I'd go to Minnesota and take a camping/canoeing trip up into the lakes...or Mount Rushmore...or Acadia National Park in Maine...the Durango & Silverton RR in Colorado...I've always wanted to go to all those places.

Some places that I've been that I'd highly recommend...Grand Teton NP, Yellowstone, Seattle, Washington DC, Key West, Cooperstown (NY), Gettysburg (PA), Steamtown USA (Scranton, PA), Cass Scenic RR (WV),...

Depends what you like - cities, beaches, mountains, lakes, rivers, snow. The US has it all. If you like mountains and the open feeling, try Montana. The scenery is beautiful and wildlife is amazing. Montana isn't called Big Sky for nothing. At night, the sky seems so close yet so far. The stars are brighter than any other place. If you like remote along with seemingly untouched scenery, try Alaska.
