i heard Leann feels underwood is undeserving of her fame and the awards she has won. I understand that Underwood won a t.v. show and became a huge success overnight but she had to have worked hard to get there. Rimes is talented too but she needs to remeber she started out singing other artists songs. Anyway does anyone know the story?

This all had to do with what Faith Hill did when they announce the winner. Leann is just pissed because she took a break to get married and stuff and now that she is back- none of her songs are in the running. I used to listen to her songs but I don't now because of what she said. I bet I'm not the only one who stopped listening to her. Does she not think before she speaks. Look at what happened to The Dixie Chicks.

Rimes feels that Underwood winning "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the Country Music Awards in November is "disenheartening" due to the fact that Carrie Underwood has only been in the country music spotlight since her debut album came out a little over a year ago. I think that Leann feels that it should have gone to Faith Hill or Martina McBride....someone that has been in the business a little bit longer. Personally, I think it's great that Carrie has found the success that she deserves so quickly. She has such amazing talent and is such a good-willed person.

Leann Rhimes has no business blasting Carrie Underwood. Unless Leann forgets, she was discovered on the precursor to American Idol - Ed McMahon's Star Search. Therefore, Leann started out just like Carrie did (in my opinion).
