It's not a question of free speech, so much as a question of blasphemy. Hollywood is a land of nihilistic, self-righteous, heathenistic, hypocritical jerks...always looking out for #1. It's odd, the whole 'GD' thing, seeing as how they manage to slip that word into movies that are more geared towards kids.
My advice is: don't let it get to you. If you feel strongly about it, you should look into starting or joining an organization that shares your views. There's nothing wrong with faith and family values, but censorship is crossing the line.

Who knows? and will anything be done to stop it -- probably not.
But here's a thought, what if every film made this year (instead of GD throughout) said something derogatory about muslims, like 'to hell with allah' in EVERY FILM.
Now there were be such an outcry that it would stop immediately, there would be boycotts etc etc etc.
But, hey, it's just 'God', so the mentality is 'who cares'

They don't think it's a curse word. They don't believe in blasphemy I guess. People can say what they want, you don't have to finish watching it.
* PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. These films contain sexuality, language, humor, and/or violence.
* R - Restricted - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian 21 years or older with photo I.D. These films contain, strong adult language, strong sexuality, nudity, strong violence, and/or gore, and drug use.
It says it in the ratings.

Upon extra idea, it develop into my deduction that my question on the topic of Playgirl rather likely wasn't acceptable for viewing by technique of the more youthful human beings. also, in spite of the undeniable fact that i'm no prude, my question develop right into somewhat hypocritical in that i'm someone who does no longer experience it truly is precise to objectify adult men or women. yet what i am going to face in the back of is the undeniable truth that there rather are discrepancies that exist between how adult men and females are sexually exploited. and that i'll claim that i believe u . s . of america rather is a sexually-repressed usa. And, i'm no longer particular that that is a sturdy element. EDIT: only for clarification's sake, I did initiate the e-mail exchanges, and it rather develop into my personal determination to delete the question. no individual bullied me into it. Gnu has continuously dealt with me with appreciate, even at the same time as he's been disillusioned in my point of view on particular issues. we do not disagree many times, yet when we do, i imagine we both have a tendency to provide one yet another the appreciate to take heed to what the different has to assert. I not in any respect meant to offend each person right here.

why not? it is part of the american language...
and btw, GD is not cursing God... it is cursing something or someone... it is proclaiming that God should curse something or someone... but many have lost sight of that... however it is taking the Lord's name in vain, which simply means someone improperly calls upon God in the wrong situation...
but a person doesnt need to say GD to take the Lord's name in vain... when someone uses "jesus christ!" as a exclamation, it is the same difference...
lighten up, will ya?

because they are the ones making the films that we all go see no matter what it said in them so I suggest if you don't like the gd word in movies, continue to watch G and PG movies or become an activist for censorship and more than likely get the living **** beat outta you because of FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Because film makers don't need the "Santa Claus for adults" that is God, so they have no problem with saying GD since its not a big deal...

Because filmmakers know there is no God so there is no shame in saying it - and their way of spreading their agnostic/athiestic beliefs.
