Considering the fact that i have only one drive. i.e only "C:". Where does all drivers reside?

you cant....unless you saved them to cd or something when you downloaded them

Depending on your device, some drivers are installed into the windows folder (such as video cards) and some are installed in their own manufacturer's folder (i.e. Logitech folder).

If you don't have all your original CD's, you will need to download drivers from each the manufacturer websites for each of your computer devices (i.e. video card, sound card, NIC, etc.) I highly suggest that you download all of the device drivers to one folder on your machine [called device drivers or similar] so you can readily find them if you need them.

You dont need t o backup the drives. Most of them are plug and play device, but others you could download from you computer manufacturer website like dell.com

I'd recommend you to use True Image by Acronis for backup purposes. Using this reliable software you can backup your entire hdd to any location available and then just restore images after formatting.
