exfoliate regularly. If you've never exfoliated before you are going to have to do it more often lke every 2 or 3 days. Some good facial scrubs are St. Ives apricot scrub (you can find at Target or Wal-Mart and its very affordable) or if you are willing to spend some $$ you can get Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion In A Jar ($80 @ Sephora). i know $80 is a bit pricey, but if you are serious about getting your face back into shape this is a great investment and it lasts for a LONG time (if you are using the proper portions as directed). Dr. Brandt will get you faster and more dramatic results than the St. Ives, but if you are on a budget then St. Ives is the way to go- you just have to be a little patient because it will work in time if you stick to it.
Also make sure you wash your face in the morning and at night- use a toner to get the extra deep down dirt out and in time your pores will appear smaller since there is no dirt to inlarge them. Vitamin E at night will make your face nice and soft and even out your complexion.

steam your face by putting some hot water in a bowl and let your face down forward letting the water moisture sink in through your skin and pores. You will feel that your pores will open up and i say do it for about 10 mins. then after, get a cube of ice and roll it up over your face about 5 mins. or so to tighten and close your pores. afterwhich you will feel a lot better because your pores had tightened and therefore, minimize the appearance of it.:-)

Here are my suggestions try a Toner. It works wonder for large pores . Make it your daily skin care regimen. Toner removes soap residue, makeup, and dead skin cells, all of which can clog pores and make them appear larger. Toner also restores the pH balance of your skin after washing, helping prevent acne and the fine lines that draw attention to large pores.
Here are some tips to also help reduce your pores:
Always keep your face clean by washing your face with a good soap or facial cleanser at least twice a day. Make sure that you do not sleep with any of your makeup products on. This can contribute to clogged pores.
You can also choose to gently exfoliate your skin at least once a week to make sure all that dead skin stays away from your pores.
Don't Over Apply Your Makeup!
Less is better! Don't cake that foundation or powder on your face. Let your skin breathe. The heavier the foundation, the easier it can remain clogged in your pores. So your best bet is to use a powder and apply the powder with a large brush. Compacts are fine too. I stay away from liquid foundations because they just make my skin oily.
Unfortunately you can’t change the size of your pores, but you can minimise them by tightening the skin around them, thus making the pores appear smaller. One of the main things that make large pores stand out is dirty skin. Pores can appear larger when dirt and oil get trapped in them, so your first step is to have a thorough daily cleansing routine.
Below are some great masks that I have tried to minimize my pores.
Some Good Face Masks proven to help reduce the sign of pores on your face .
Kiss My Face Deep Pore Cleansing Masque.......$10
Queen Helena Mint Julep........$4
Or...make your own here is a recipe to help reduce your pores !
Cucumber Avocado Facial Mask
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup chopped avocado
1 egg white
2 tsp. powdered milk
In a blender combine all of the ingredients until they form a smooth, paste-like consistency. You can apply the mask immediately or refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
Apply 2 tablespoons of the cucumber avocado mask to your face and neck in circular upward motions. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes, or until dry. To remove the mask simply rinse your face and neck with warm water, followed by a cold water rinse. Finally, pat dry your face and neck.
Also afterwords you will see how affective the mask works When you peel off the dried out mask, you can really see the blackheads stuck on it! Even the tiniest of blackheads come out! Best part of all, it also exfoliates out and peels off dead skin! It also helps a little in whitening. It is also absorbs excess oil very well. This literally saved my skin!
