i cant say for sure, but i had the same problem. all it will do is make the yellow check engine light come on. the price for the part was $26.

It is a small square shaped plastic item with a connector with three wired, plugged into the intake manifold (plenum) and retained by one or two screws. it isn't much larger than 1-1/2 inches long and about 7/8" wide. usually black.
