I've never heard any stories about CPS doing anything good for children. Sure I've heard parents complain but more than that I've never met an adult that recieved "help" from CPS when they were a child claim that the help was appropriate. I know one grown woman that swears while two male CPS agents were investigating a false claim of sexual abuse against her father, the male agent not only asked her if she was touched but actually touched her in those specific places. She was seven at the time. She claims she felt molested by the Child protective workers and very frightened. I've met both male and female adults who state that they were taken from their parents because their parents were found to be neglectful only to be abused physically and sexually by foster parents. I agree children should be protected. Who is protecting them from CPS?

I spent ten years in foster care and yes, I was helped by the Department of Human Services (what we call CPS here) and had a great case worker who did a good job looking out for me. If it were not for being in foster care, I would have been dead or homeless and instead, I have a couple of families who love me and a college degree paid for by grants that were given to me largely because I was a foster kid.

They have made alot of mistakes too . I have heard many stories about children that shoud've been removed and weren't and it turned out to be tragic.
