About a week before your period your ovulation cycle is pretty much over so it's relatively safe, you should still use a condom and birth control if you don't want to get pregnant... sperm can survive in your vaginal passage for 14 days so you're never one hundred percent safe from pregnancy except for while you're on your period and that's yucky.

You can *definitely* get pregnant if you have unprotected sex during the last week of your period. I know women who have, that's for sure.
Ovulation times varies from person to person and from month to month, which is why you must ALWAYS use protection if you don't want to get pregnant.

it depends on when she ovulates. most women ovulate 2 weeks give or take before their period. the only way to know that you won't get pregnant is to have safe sex. each woman's body is different so there is no other fool proof way.

no, you do not know what level stress plays on a delayed period. You do not know for sure when you will ovulate, stress, illness or any other factors can play into a delayed ovulation.
