Me and my wife keep kidding about how, at age thirty, Christmas is more scarry than it is fun.

I'm having a hard time getting into the feeling this year. Mostly because Pittsburgh is so warm! 60 degrees in December is not our Christmas weather. Psychologically, for me the mood begins with snowflakes, being bundled up, seeing the holiday lights against a white background, rushing into the home wih the warm fireplace. Now, we're wearing flip flops, no jackets, washing cars in the driveway. And Mr. Weatherman says it's not going to change anytime soon.

Christmas?

Do you believe in Jesus, is the holy spirit with you? If you truly want to "feel" Christmas, pray, whether you pray alone or at Church, does not matter. The other thing you can do is, go do something good for someone who has nothing, like a homeless person freezing on the street, give them your jacket, be selfless not selfish and you will feel something

You must have a lot more going on in your life that is distracting you from joy.
Joy is a state you sometimes have to bring YOURSELF into. Go see a good Christmas movie. Put on some music ...and most important -spend time with friends and family doing something fun, Play games, eat out, sing carols. Sounds to me you are just a bit overstressed or something.

I'm with you. My second job is in retail and I still can't get in the spirit yet. The weather in my area (New England) has been unusually mild so maybe that is part of the reason I can't get into the spirit.

must be! i'm loving this season. spend some time with friends/family, blast some xmas music at home/in the car, or make some baked goods and deliver them to your friends/neighbors. these will surely get you in the christmas spirit!
