He might still have resentment but there is a good chance that he acts this way to see your reaction and to see it you still care. He could also be trying to get over you and by being mean he is trying to convience himself that he doesn't car about you. I would just wait it out if you really want to be his friend and let him know for the most part you will still be there for him, whiether he's mean or not. And if he is trying to get back with you and you don't want to be with he then just try not to take him seriously and act like you want him back because he's acting like he doesnt like you. Love and Relationships are somewhat a game that you want the upperhand in. But if it is simply the fact that your afraid to loose him as a friend then tell him straight up exactly how you feel.

Tell him that his friendship means a lot to you and that you hope that you guys can get past all the hard feelings and that you will be here waiting. And then wait! It's very hard if it's only been a month. You always have to reverse the situation and try to imagine how he would feel and then base it off of that.

Ok, if you broke up with him a month ago, he's not your boyfriend, he's your ex. Second you sound young due to the fact that you're calling him your boyfriend and you're playing these mind games with him. The question that you should be asking yourself is if you're no longer dating this person why are you calling him and worrying about if he talks to you or not? Another sign that you're either young or clingee. Either way, he's showing that he doesn't want to be bother with you and you're just to young or nieve to get the big picture. Listen, he doesn't want to be your friend, if he did he would call you and take your calls. He only said that it's cool that you and he can be friends because either didn't want to deal with you crying or throwing a hissy-fit. He's being rude to you because he doesn't want to deal with you or be bothered with you. Does he have to come right out curse you out for your to get the hint. Leave that boy, man or whatever he considers himself alone before he gets someone to come after you for bothering you. It doesn't sound like ignore her and she'll come back, it sounds like I wish she'd leave me alone and stop bothering me.

He might be doing the treat her mean keep her keen thing but to be honest why are you worrying? You broke up with him. Sometimes men cant handle the being friends thing so maybe its best you just don't talk and if hes being rude to you what do you wanna talk to him for anyway?

Stop calling him. If he doesn't want to still be friends with you, then stop trying to maintain the relationship. You'er not dating him anymore, so why does it matter? His loss.

He might still be upset or he just says that he loves you sometimes to keep you happy and less drama.

he's acting childish, and being rude to you - why do you care if he's "doing what you think he is"?
