criminal background checks?employment background checks?i have turned my life around for the better but a few years ago i had a felony conviction and my employment history can be described as sporadic at best.what other lines of work can i do to afford the cost of raising a family?

The union doesn't run background checks, However the state may for licensing reasons but it shouldn't affect your career.

The union's don't do background checks but the company's you could be working for may. Since 9-11 a lot of companies have been doing extensive checks including but not limited to criminal and work history, etc. My husband just had to fill out a three year employment history that could contain NO gaps and that could be verified by another inidividual. There are of course smaller companies that aren't requiring this as of yet but just be forewarned.

Every union is thrilled to get any body's dues
Heck, most will take illegal aliens
They would not do a background check, so many of them have records already
Did you ask them for a background check? see if the chairman was every convicted of embezzling?

no they don't check , u just gotta pay ur 500 $ and then ur in
