Ibuprofen (like Motrin) and acetaminophen (like Tylenol) are both fever reducers if you are looking for a medication. Placing cool washcloths on his forehead and back of his neck will also help ease a fever as will removing excess clothing. Placing your son on a clean sheet dressed only in underwear and t-shirt or lightweight pajamas covered with a sheet and lightweight blanket will be more comfortable for him then having excess covers. If he feels up to it, a tepid (not cold) bath may also help reduce a fever. Fevers are a body's natural defense mechanism in fighting an illness. If he is acting pretty normal and running a fever, don't be in a big rush to give some kind of medication or lower the fever. Let his body work to rid itself of the illness. Encourage him to drink plenty of fluids as a fever can cause dehydration. Cool drinks can also help lower a fever.

Chill some water in the freezer. Add some vinegar. Take two towels, put them in the cold water and wrap them around her calves. Let her rest. This will lower the body temperature significantly and is safe for grownups and children.

Well, make them lay on a white sheet with a white t-shirt or no t-shirt on and give tylenol or motrin. If u haven't seen any improvement try rubbing some rubbing alcohol on the bottom of his or her feet and leave socks off so that way he or she can catch a chill and that may help bring it down. Also turn lights off make it dark in the room with nothing but the tv going. No lights keeps the room cool. But make sure they stay laying down.

Use a few ounces of water to give your child an enema. This will relief a fever naturally by stimulating the immune system. This generally works within a few hours.

If it is extremely high, then take him to the ER or to your doctor but I have given my child a cool alcohol bath and it helped. Just put them in the tub and keep wiping them down with the alcohol water for a few minutes. Don't let them get chilled or shivering. Then dry off, and get them warm. Good Luck!

Anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen. Also let him soak in a lukewarm tub and you can also apply cool cloths to the arm pits and groin. One thing to remember though that unless it is an unusually high temp you don't really want to lower it because a temperature is your body's natural defense mechanism for helping fight whatever is causing the temp like a cold or flu etc.
