Love and Protection, the pentagram is suposed to show how everything on the earth, and it's creatures( even us ) are connected. that's what it symbolizes,
What it offers is protection, from negative energies.
No, Dbytz, the five points are to symbolize the five elements. The frist one beint the Divine Spirit, or GOD, then there is Earth, fire, water, air.
They symbolize this because we are part of every single one of these five points.
We are made in the image of God,
We are part of this earth,
We all harvest the passion and fire to live inside our souls.
We are made up of water particles,
and we breathe in the air.
Do not get this confused with the satanic pentagram, it is upside down, the two bottom points are on top, to symbolize a a satanic goat. Not wiccan.
Each element is connected to each person, and when you are in full connection, you harvest power to banish negative energies, and spirits. The pentagram is related to Pagan/Wiccans, which, correct me if I'm wrong, chritians think are evil, so why would the petagram have to do with Jesuses wounds?

Not sure about the heartogram. The pentagram is a symbol that has "deep roots"; it was used in the middle ages to symbolize the 5 knightly virtues (probably from the 5 wounds of Christ). It was also used as to ward off evil. In the late 1700's it was first used in connection with demons, this usage was not wide spread until Hollywood made it popular in various movies.

and a pentagram is a five pointed star commonly associated with Wicca, Ritual magick, Satanism, and Masonry. The Pentagram has a long and complex history as a religious symbol. The pentagram is a symbol with spiritual meaning that Witches find beautiful and comforting. According to the teachings of many traditions in Witchcraft, the universe is made up of five elements: fire, air, water, earth and spirit. All things are somehow related to one or more of these elements.

To many, the Heartogram represents the dialectic or blending of opposites such as love/hate and life/death, whilst the Pentogram is the symbol of Air, Earth, Fire, Water and Spirit. A Wiccan will wear the pentogram with the Spirit point facing the sky - the goddess, but Satanists will turn the pentogram upside down so that the point corresponding to Spirit is at the bottom, pointing to earth - 'satan', which also leaves Fire and Earth at the top.

The heartagram symbolizes the combo of love and hate the contrast or perfect balance between life and death, or even love and death together like sexy_beast said. every one thinks it means that whomever wears one is a saitnest. but I reasearched it for a while. all that was made by people who don't like us goths and wish to get ride of us.
