I know how you feel I'm arabic but people assume I'm white because my skin is so white and because i have green eyes and my name is Sarah but when i tell them I'm arabic they look at me in different way at first but then when they get to know me they don't care anymore and they treat me with respect. So i think you should try to be nice and yourself and if it doesn't work just ignore them.

Hi,

No, I'm not Aribic, But I do understand what you are going through. I didn't blame anyone for what happened that day. So you should not feel as if you being Aribic had anything to do with that day. No one knows why anyof those things happened that day. People are going to make fun of you just to get a reaction, do not allow what others say about you stop you from being you. I am Black, and people think that we have lack of education, and all we want to do is drink and do drugs. But I know that I am not like what some people think of me. So what I am saying to you is do not allow what people think of your religion or your skin color stop you from being who you are. Best advise I can give you is Be Who You Are, and Love Yourself. And not let anyone chance you.

Being in the minority is always difficult, because people mistrust anyone who is different. And right now anyone with a Middle East background is especially mistrusted, because the terrorists came from that general part of the globe and had a certain religion. You can still be the best person you can be, ignore the remarks and let people get to know you as a good, trustworthy person. If the harassment continues, you can report it to the principal or counselor. It's against the law in most places to make racist remarks.
So, do your best, ignore the bad, and report the worst.

I'm christian but have Arabic & Muslim friends. You are unfortunately misunderstood & easy targets for teasing right now. Someone will always find a way. Your looks, name or religion. The trick is not to respond or give a reaction. It stops being as much fun. When I was young it was black, blond or Jew jokes. You're the new stereotype.

Ignore them, trust me.

Some people are just ignorant. You should be proud to be Arab. If they continue to tease you, just point out the fact that September 11th was over 5 years ago and that the bombers were idiots. Maybe ask them why they're still bothering you when they have bigger problems to deal with: like their education.

People have allways been that way.Its tribal custom to pick on the new people in the tribe. it will take many years and. well. it will still be that way.kick there a s s is all I can say.I have noticed that being nice makes it worst with most folks.I have tryed to be nice to the mexican neighbors and they think I am weird to wave and speak to them. we Southerners still dont like Yankees in our presence.I really dont know how to handle these stupid humans.I support the South leaveing the union and kicking all non Southerners out. so I am really not the one to get a good answer from. But good luck to you sweety

If you folow islam then people who know what islam's intention is will be very negative towards you... people do not like those who tell them that they are going to have their heads cut off if they do not accept something being imposed upon them... if you are NOT of islam then live your faith and set an example that will earn you respect... once you make it clear that you seperate yourself from islam most rational people will accept you for you and not for the movement that has smeared so many with a dirty brush

Are you in the USA? Actually that probably doesn't matter. Kid's pick on other kids in all schools in all nations so you'll just have to grow a thick skin and get through it just like the rest of us.
