This actually happened to me, I was in a club parking lot trying to back up and I side swiped the front end of someones car. I wasnt sure if someone was around or not so I politely got out and left my information on the windshield. The next day she called and I explained that I would be responsible for the repairs (a little paint scratch) and asked that she get an estimate, a week went by and she told me that she had gotten the estimate and something about her mom didnt feel that I would take care of my responsibility (cause I only left my name and cell phone number) so she wanted to get more info (like my adress, my social, my drivers license number, etc...) I told her no. In the end I went ahead and filed it on my insurance cause I saw that she was going to be a pain in the a@^. So, I say to you, either take the risk of someone not seeing you hit the car and getting your license plate or do the right thing and leave a note with your cell and name.

I think I would just leave. But Michigan is a no-fault State anyway. Here, it is to each his own to fix his car, the other person isn't responsible for the damage, however if you stay at the site, you could be issued a ticket. So I think I would leave, sad to say but true.

I would wait around for a few minutes. If no one showed then I'd leave a note with all my information on it.

They have surveillance cameras in a lot of parking lots now, so they'd probably catch you anyways.
But, it depends on how much damage is don't . If I just accidently hit there car with my car door, then no.
But if I really messed it up, I'd tell them.

You got to leave your information. If you don't that's considered hit and run.

Well, they have cameras now in the parking lots, so you have to tell them or you'll be in more trouble for not reporting it. If the cameras weren't there I'd definitely just take off.

I would try and tell them or just leave my name and number on their windshield. Never leave a scene of an accident.
