As a Grandma I can tell you that slippers...not the real Grannie kind nor the Mule type but nice pretty ones that fit the whole foot. Smellies are always welcome too as they save you money during the year not having to spend your pension on toiletries. Another idea is £10 of Lucky Dip Lottery Tickets....you never know one may be the winner...and it gives Grannie something to look forward too....Or how about making a date to take her out for a meal in the new year....Make an invitation and give it her with the date. time and venue......Hope some of these give you an inspiration and your Gran enjoys whatever you give her.

I'm going to second the photo answer. I made an enlargement of a picture from my wedding and put it in a frame I bought for about $7 at an overstock store. Really, the last thing grandma needs is another figurine, and I know my grandma can't get out much because of her arthritis.

How about buy a photo album (which you can get at the dollar store) and put photo's of you and your family in it. Maybe decorate the front of it and write Grandma's Brag Book.
A sweatshirt with all the grandkids names on it. But this would be more than $10.00.
Merry Christmas!

How about a promise to exercise with her? The grandmas in my life can learn to like that nasty, old exercise prescription if they have a grandchild demonstrating the joy of it. Another possibility might be a home made coupon book with coupons for gutter-cleaning, carpet shampooing, kitchen painting and/or whatever chores you can think of that a 74 year old woman might have problems doing for herself.

I was going to suggest a toy boy till I saw the £10 limit. Cant get much for that. How about a hairdo at the local crimpers?

It really does depend on the Grandma. If I bought mine lotions as someone suggested they would get stuck in a drawer somewhere and called 'that stuff'
