someone from school had this piece of gum thing, when you go to pull the piece of gum the silver part that looks like the wrapper shocks you when you pull it.

There is not enough voltage to actually hurt anyone with a 9 Volt. But if you tell them to lightly touch their tongue on both leads - they can "taste" the voltage. It kind of has a metallic taste to it. My brothers and I used to do this all the time.

There's not enough voltage to do much unless you contaced two wires across the tongue. They would get a sensation and a strange taste.

put it on their tongue while they sleep if possible, or do the old "Close your eyes and open your mouth" bit and see if they fall for it
