Yes. As your skin gets tighter - around your belly, your breasts, thighs, butt, anywhere that starts expanding, it will itch more......
NOTE: Word to the wise: Don't scratch it! Rub it with lotion designed to fight off stretch marks.

Yes!!! I hated that. It was the absolute worst thing EVER because I felt like a monkey scratching my belly!
It's mainly because your skin is stretching. You should put lots of lotion on it because it help keep the skin moist and help it's elasticity. Also, by rubbing the lotion in and massaging, it can actually help reduce the number of stretch marks by helping your skins elasticity.
One thing that works GREAT is vitamin E oil, which I'm pretty sure is safe for pregnancy. Maybe get a few drops and mix it with some lotion...better yet...find lotion with vitamin E oil in it. It works wonders. I'm not saying you won't get any stretch marks, but it will at least help with itching!

This is totally normal! It is just because the skin is stretching to try to accommodate the baby. I however, didn't notice stretch marks appearing throughout most of my pregnancy, so I ignored putting lotions on it - big mistake. I have a road map of stretch marks on my stomach now. There are a lot of great lotions specifically for this problem and I don't think they are too expensive - plus if you are using it only on your belly it should last, too. You may want to check other areas, too though and lotion those up...a lot of my friends have them on their sides and their thighs, also.

Yep its normal because your skin is stretching. Don't scratch it...it can bring out stretchmarks. Put lots of lotion on and pat the spots that itch.
If a rash pops up contact your dr because it could be PUPPS....but that usually only comes on in the 3rd trimester.

Yes your skin is stretching and creating dry spots. Lotion your growing belly every day, I use Palmer's Coco butter massage lotion, it also is supposed to help prevent and reduce stretch marks.

Yup, totally normal. You can try using lotion to help relieve the itching, but sometimes you just have to live with it!
