DEFINITELY -- and remember, good is in the eye of the beholder ...
Even if you are alone this Christmas Season, you can still be positive and have fun. Find some activity in the local community -- give back, join in the entertainment, or help out.
Look for Festivals of Lights (and bring your camera to take images of the sights).
Attend a Christmas Parade .. go to a Local Christmas play.
Donate to a Favorite Cause .. open your closet and donate what you have NOT worn for some time (because others can definitely use what you do not!)
Pick up some non-perishable food, and (Usually -- at least the stores in my area do this) Put those purchases in the Food Bank Bins at the Front of the stores.
Take a angel off the Senior Citizen Angel Tree and purchase some of the simple things that these elders want (and drop them off!)
IF you have extra sports equipment, camping equipment or anything else -- donate it to your local scouts, 4-H or whatever for the children to use.
Take care of yourself too -- a small 'indulgence' is a few of the inexpensive Christmas DVDs -- some of the old Rankin/Bass Cartoons are great for this ... make yourself a hot cup of cocoa and sit down and enjoy the Cartoons with this.

Yes, I am a lucky person, and am enjoying a very good festive season. I make a concerted effort to think positive all through the year. It is difficult sometimes, but somehow I have muddled through. I try to think of all the ways that I am actually very lucky: I have always found a job when I needed one; have somehow found a way to pay for the repair or do the repair for any problem with my car/home; have good friends and family to stand by me.
The holiday season is difficult for many people, and the hustle and bustle can grate on anyones nerves sometimes. Go outside, late at night or very early in the morning, when it's quiet, and look at the sky and the trees and the clouds. Enjoy the quiet, breathe the air, and smile (even if, and especially if, you don't feel like it). I hope you feel better, and wish you the best this season.

yes. you can think about the misfortune of others. here"s one. my t.v. went out last week, i need brakes, and i just came back from a dental cleaning with an estimate of $3000, of which my insurance will cover $250. did i mention that my job is moving to another country after the beginning of the year and i will be provided with training for something else, while i live on unemployment? i hope. sorry, it's hard when you are possibly being groomed for a job in the fast food industry. maybe you need a drink. good luck. ho ho ho.

i'd have 2 this twelve months. the first on Christmas Eve with the in guidelines and the 2d at my abode on Christmas day. Turkey isn't on the menu. we would have a seafood dinner on Christmas Eve and excellent Rib roast on Christmas Day. We infrequently serve turkey anymore - we nevertheless get excitement from roasted chickens and Cornish activity hens, the small one pounders. (even in spite of the undeniable fact that lately i imagine the sport hens could be on steroids as they're customarily a million-a million/2 - 2 lbs and we locate that too large for one serving as we opt for to serve them entire).

make a christmas cd and BLAST IT at home, in the car, etc. it's the best way to get into the spirit of the season. also, make ornaments/cookies/another small gift, put together in a fun holiday package and deliver to your neighbors/friends. This will DEFINITELY put you in the xmas and giving spirit. It always feels best to me when I give, and not receive!

Wear a Santa hat to work. I have one of my favorite football team and I wore it at work yesterday. My boss got a kick out of it.
