so as u say that he is in a band, so he loves music for sure. u can gift him a dvd or cd which u think he would like and he can listen to that wenever he misses u

If he doesn't have one, a watch might be nice, depending on how much you want to spend. Also, a nice cologne, a game he might be interested in, or maybe some new tools, depending on what type of guy he is. Sometimes, even if he's not into games, a cool board game can be really fun. If you're going that route, try Settlers of Catan.
