Ummm not all bulls have horns either. It actually is okay to let someone like Drew answer this and not follow it up with misleading information, he kind of covered it.

Yes both have horns, as a Kid I was chased by a cow with horns!! sometimes they are cut off so that people are less likely to get hurt when working with the animals and so that they dont get hurt between them.

Both cows and bulls can have horns. There are some breeds that are polled (hornless) but both genders have horns on breeds with horns. Usually the horns are removed when they are young so they won't be stabbing each other with them.

Cows, cattle, and bulls can all have horns. Most cows today do not have horns due to the popularity of unhorned cattle and the de-horning of cattle. Most ranchers do not want their cattle to have horns because they can damage other cattle and their equipement so they either choose to not purchase them or have them de-horned.

Also, it is believed that non-horned cows eat better than long-horns. I have not ever tested this theory but non-horned cattle is the primary beef of choice today.

There are both long-horned cows and short-horned cows.

Check out the links below on both types.

I take it you are from the City--------Bulls (boys) have horns unless they have been cut off. Heifers ( girl cows) depending on the breed (name of cattle) like hereford, black angus, holstien etc) will also have horns if allowed to grow. If someone tells you it is a "polled" whatever then they haven't any horns. Understand.
