I get tired of hearing the excuse that Eli Manning is young. When Peyton Manning was young, before his fourth year in his career, he didn't have half the talent that Eli Manning has surrounding him.

The Giants have one of the premiere league TE's in Shockey, one of the league's best RB's in Barber, and one of the best WR's in Burress.

Manning is a TO machine who churns out INTs like there is no tomorrow. He makes bad decisions and singlehandedly causes the Giants to lose football games.

If you put for example Carson Palmer in the Giants offense and he'd be performing just as well as he performs for the Bengals. He's a young quarterback with great potential in this league. Eventually the Giants are going to see the picture clearly...Eli is no Peyton. Then he'll go to some other team for a few years and probably be riding the bench somewhere within the next 4 seasons.

No. He'll come close but Peyton is in a different level than Eli. Eli doesn't understand the game half as well as his brother. Which is weird, considering that both have been around football all their lives. But, it took a long time for Peyton to be out of this world. Peyton's in his 9th year, which is the time where QBs are in their prime. but ppl have got to stop seeing Eli as "Peyton's little brother" and give him a chance.

i imagine Eli will likely win an extra beneficial ring. i'm no longer particular about Peyton in spite of the undeniable fact that. The Giants have a marginally sturdy crew, and the Colts rather favor to amp up the protection earlier Peyton retires. Regardless, Eli is not likely more beneficial than Peyton as a qb. large Bowl earrings do no longer make you a large qb, only a large crew that twelve months. inspect Philip Rivers

Ok look people, Eli Manning for sure has potential to be as good as his brother. And you have to understand that he has been in the NFL for many less years than Peyton has. No one seems to get that!! He is still getting used to everything! Cut the kid some slack!!

This was actually a really retarted question, I dont even know why i answered it.

GO ELI!!

Eli Manning will not be as good as his brother. Peyton has a much better grasp on how to control and maneuver the other team's defense and expose their weaknesses. Once Tiki Barber leaves the Giants, Eli will look confused as ever.

NEVER... Not just because I'm a huge colts fan, i know that we'll probably never win a SB with Peyton, we should have kept King and played him in playoffs. But Eli is one of the most over rated guys in the league right now, he's playing bad, and he's not getting the ball to a key player, who's wide open quite a bit; Jeremy Shockey. Eli has much to learn, but he will never be a peyton.

If people would accept him as Eli Manning, not Peyton Manning's little brother then he will set out of that shadow and become an excellent QB

nope because peyton manning does things that eli manning doesn't do very good like managing a game properly in terms of play calls and audibles and reading defenses and using the proper mechanics seriously when have you ever seen peyton manning throw off his back foot while you see eli doing that quite a bit i might add and making killer turnovers peyton doesn't kill drives as often as eli does although i can see both of them ending their careers like dan marino and jim kelly both really with pretty good careers but no championships unfortunately

Eli manning is still very young and has time to become a good quarterback but to say he will be as good as a quarterback who threw 49 touchdown passes in a season and is breaking records left and right is preposterous. You can never say a player will be like a hall of famer but you can say that he will get better.

No and It is not his fault. He never said he was that good. The media turned it into a brother competition. i do think he will win a Super Bowl before Peyton because they have more talent on the Giants. All they need is a better coach.
