Thousands of years ago, in Mayan civilization, the lead in thier pottery proves that the magnetic field was once reversed, meaning that the south pole was north, the north pole the south.
So, when this happens, the weather, the energies, everything is messed up as the force field of the earth begins to shut down in preparation to "flip". (Discover channel).
So, with this global warming, and the ice-caps melting, I was thinkig about the mythology stolen from the Mayan religion that originally speaks of the flooding of the earth...if the force field shuts down and completely melts all of the ice-caps, will this produce another flooding of our time?

My guess is that it it it, well, all guesses.
First, I looked for other evidence that these flips introduce climate changes.
The last measured geomatic reversal was the Brunhes-Matuyama Reversal 787,000 years ago. The Mayan civilization dates back to about 10,000 years ago.
Also, it is theorized that the ionosphere (currently unmagnetized) could substitute for the magnetic field if it were to switch, or collapse. that would mean no observed effects or changes.

By the way it is expected to shut down around 3000-4000AD but only temporarily.

CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.

Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest.
(see links below)

How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.

There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.

Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.

Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

Force field? You need to be a little bit more specific.. The poles have switched several times throughout history, and this switch is significant but would probably not cause a melting of the ice caps.

Jet engines!! If there is truly global warming, and if it is caused by CO2 greenhouse gas effect, then it can only be from CO2 in the upper atmosphere. CO2 is heavier than air, it is a(the main) plant food, and plants take up CO2 as fast as they are exposed to it. Experiments at UCDavis CA greenhouses added CO2 to the greenhouse of which the higher levels could not be maintained because the plants took it up so fast. AND they grew more lushly.
However, jet engines burn 2-5 tons of kerosene per hour. There are thousands of hours of jet engine use per day above 30,000 ft.
Each lb of fuel produces 3.66 lbs of CO2. CO2 will slowly drift down to Earth, but how long does it take.
If the air is sampled on the surface, it could be higher in cities than in the rural areas because more plants in the rural. But 85%
of the Earth is water, so plankton, etc are the main users of CO2.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm...
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.
