The double-meaning to the saying "The Pen is mightier than the sword" should be taken into consideration. Both a pen and a sword are phallic, but "Pen is" is a male symbol of love, and the sword is for hate.

This is a sort of chicken-egg question... I like it. Good question.

The pen has the ability to transform thought and gain support from the masses if what has been written with the pen is spread and agreed with.

However, the sword can conquer those masses of people eventually.

Nothing though, can suppress human innovation. The sword was an innovation, just as the pen was.

Hehe...If you put it that way,you can say that the pen is the creator of the sword.Long before swords were invented,in a lot of books it was mentioned maybe a thousand ways a sword looks.

For example many chroniclers sayd theyr version of how a sword might look...Sooooooo...The pen is the swords creator,so that makes the pen mightyer than the sword
