I think Frasier is great! And yes, it is a nice change of pace and has actual references to real problems people have. Plus it's funny because as psychiatrists, Frasier and Niles often do the very thing they tell their patients or audience not to do! Frasier often has his own issues similar to the ones his callers call in.
I think it's hillarious. It almost pokes fun at the professionals and the ones who are supposed to be snobs or know-it-alls. But it humanizes them at the same time. So, again, I really liked this show.

Yeah, I remember Frasier. Great comedy. I have a boxed set of first season DVDs. Still as funny today.

Great comedy - I didn't watch reruns for several years and and delighted to see how well it holds up when I watch it now.

I don't think it is 'intellectual elitism' because it spends too much time make fun of the Crane boys when their snobbery gets the best of them.

The "intellectual elitism" is the comedy.
Great writers.

Frasiers attempts to intellectually master the intellectual, so often mirroring some of the people we know and identify with.
However true his intellectual status is, he must one up the utmost.
Although Niles to me, is the greater of the two who personify that.

It is hilarious. It may be a smart comedy but it is still one of the funniest shows ever put on the television.
