because the U.S. is the most uptight country in the world regarding sex, sexual relationships, and sexual fetishes.

Sex is supposed to be between two people. It should also be very private. Most people get uncomfortable because it's a private issue that they don't like to share with people. Sex has been made to be something that everyone should do and be proud of doing. It's not the case in those of us who cherish this private thing that is shared between two people who are truely in love and have no intentions of sharing their bodies with anyone else. Even though we know everyone is doing it, there should still be something special in it between the husband and wife who are sharing this very intimate moment with each other. Thank you.

I wondered that myself. Maybe its just they are afraid of coming off as being ignorant in the eyes of others. But I think its more likely that since we still [somewhat] consider sex [and related issues] private and special its not easy to speak out in the open.
